Adrían Alvarez is a chicano cinematographer, specializing in narrative, fashion and music video productions.
During his undergraduate experience, Adrían delved into the realm of film photography, experimenting with medium format cameras while finalizing his photographic essay for the UCLA History Capstone project. The encouragement from scholarly professors to see History through Narrativism profoundly shaped his visual perspective and creativity skills, laying the foundation for his advancement in handling both analog and digital cameras.
Inspired by the visionary works of acclaimed filmmakers including Bradford Young, Alfonso Cuaron, and Andrei Tarkovsky, Adrían possesses an unwavering passion for crafting naturalistic and emotionally resonant imagery. He relishes capturing character-driven narratives while exploring a broad spectrum of genres, from horror, to experimental, comedy, and drama.
Adrían is pursuing Master of Fine Arts at the LMU School of Film & Television, specializing in cinematography.
